- Affected Teaching
- Here is another major attack upon the Lord Jesus Christ. What is attacked here is His Deity and the fact that he is our Savior. Jude 25 teaches that Jesus, who is God, is the only wise God our Savior. By adding the phrase “through Jesus Christ our Lord,” it refocuses the passage on God the Father. Then it is only through the Lord Jesus Christ that God is our Savior, completely removing the fact that Jesus is the Savior and making Him only a conduit.
